Jody Manley
jody has been practicing ashtanga since 1996 and is halifax's most senior ashtanga teacher.
she is a dedicated student of nancy gilgoff who is considered the first western women to travel to India to study with Sri. K Pattabhi Jois and has been his student for over 30 years - she is credited for bringing ashtanga to the west in the 1970's with david williams.
nancy is dedicated to passing down the practice in its tradition- her teaching reflects this as she is able to teach in a style and touch that was transmitted to her by Jois. for jody, meeting nancy in mysore India in 2006 and continuing study with her has been life changing. www.ashtangamaui.com.
